The campaign was phenomenally successful last year. It reached over 750,000 people on social media and appeared on RTÉ news bulletins across the day. If you would like more information on the campaign from past years, visit the Make Way Day website.
Make Way Day is a National Public Awareness Campaign to highlight the issues people with disabilities face getting around their local communities. People with disabilities will be out and about to issue the public gentle reminders to consider our needs when using the public spaces we all share.
Now in its third year, this campaign is going from strength to strength. Supported by 17 county councils last year and a wide range of local communities, with more support committed this year.
