This is the season for flus and winter vomiting bugs. Noro virus, better known as the winter vomiting bug, is the most common stomach bug in Ireland, affecting people of all ages.
It is highly contagious and causes vomiting and diarrhoea. Noro virus can be unpleasant to experience, but it is not generally dangerous, and most people make a full recovery within a couple of days, without having to see a doctor.
