Changes to the Travel Club

The Travel Club is not a funded service. It is supported by Cork CIL and a local Community Employment scheme, but in order for us to continue the service, fuel, insurance, and vehicle maintenance must be covered by members’ contributions.

Block booking and late cancellations are significant and ongoing problems. Due to financial pressures, and to be fairer to all our Travel Club members, the following changes are being made:

  • We will no longer take bookings for dates 4 weeks or more from the current date.
  • Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged.
  • All invoiced journeys must be paid within 4 weeks.
  • We will not accept bookings from members who are in arrears for more than 4 weeks.

If your details have changed, or you no longer wish to be a member of the Travel Club, please let us know.
