Áiseanna Tacaíochta is set up to develop a supportive and cost-effective user-led network that empowers us, its members, to move from dependency on disability service providers to managing our own personal budgets and services in a mainstream market environment. As we move towards setting up our own companies to manage our own Personal Assistant Services, we will require certain supports, both from each other and form external sources.

A Pilot on a New Flight Path
Áiseanna Tacaíochta is a new Direct Payment model being piloted in Ireland. This is a new departure in Irish policy but also an exciting one in terms of working towards the idea of funding following the individual instead of a service provider.
